The Quest For Taco Bell...

I just spent the past week with a whole bunch of middle schoolers who took time out of their summer to do local mission in their community of Miami-Dade. This past week was all kinds of fun!!! There was a student on my team that all he wanted was to go to taco bell...i told him i don't know if we will make it but we will try....so after a few days of not getting taco bell but getting all other kinds of amazing treats...we finally made it to a taco bell...the whole group of kids in my car were so dang happy. God Has Some Amazing Plans!!!!

For the past 3 years I have gone to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip to a town named El Tamarindo. This place is so dang amazing!!! I have friends there that I will have forever!!!!!!!!! Over the past three years I have seen so many catch the fire for God, I have seen kids feel love, and I have seen a school that at first only was able to school 400 students now able to school over 1000!!!! Last year when that area was hit with heavy storms most of the town was flooded out and many families used the school as a shelter. This year I will not be going to the Dominican Republic...although I am so sad about it I am really looking forward about the mission trip I am going on. I will be spending a week in El Salvador. While we are there we will be providing free medical clinics for those who can't afford it. This is going to be an amazing trip. I can't wait to see what God has planed for me and our team. Para mis amigos en La Republica Dominicana, yo te amo mucho!!! P.S. Maria and Shannon I love you both soooo much. And I'm going to miss going down there with you guys....Maria Please don't let any one sleep on the lower bunk....save it for me until next year....Shannon please tell all the boys I love them and miss them tons!!!!! Oh and make sure you guys kick butt at the softball game!!!!

...A Few Things God Has Been Showing Me...

Ok so God is really showing me that I really need to live Psalms 46:10 out daily...

"Be still, and know that I am God!..."Psalms 46:10

This is so dang amazing!!!

All He wants us to do is be still...now I know for me this is the hardest thing in the world, there are just so many things to do, it is so hard just to sit down and chill. I have found that late at night or early in the morning is the best time for me to just chill out in God's lap.

So on top of that we don't have to do a dang thing, we just have to know that God says "I AM" which blows my mind He is everything we need Him to be to us. He is our peace, He is our comfort, He has our situations in the palm of His hand.

This is just so dang amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God Rocks!!!!!

The frears will be gone

So I totally found this verse and it has rocked my world...


"For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With His love, He will calm all your fears.

Ok so the whole thing is amazing...but the part that has rocked me the mos is "with His love, He will calm all your fears..." Lately I have been so worried and scared about different things going on and when I read this it hit me that because of His love i don't have to worry, He will always take care of me and has the best in store for me...

The 3rd of 3

This is my sister, she is 3 1/2 years younger than me and is totally the baby of the family. I was thinking a few days ago about the past 18 years she has been here with us...she has overcome amazing things! She is an amazing sister, she always speaks her mind and will always tell me just what she things about anything I am doing. I must say we are not as close as I would like but we are working on it. She is going to be graduating in a few days from high school, and I can't believe it I still think of her as the little girl we would call "Lisa Pizza" and I remember when she came to my class cause she cut her knee...she was so little and she needed me as a big sister to take care of her. That has changed so much over the past few years....she is all grown up, and I can't take care of her anymore, nor does she want me to...she is leaning to take care of herself and doing a great job, now don't get me wrong do I worry about her every day? YES!!!!! But she will do just fine... I love her to death and there isn't anything in this world I wouldn't do for her. She is my little redhead forever...Love you Linda......

The M&Ms!!!!!

I have an amazing Brother, who is 6 years older than me, and he is by far the best big brother in the world. No matter what he will always have my back...he has been there for me through the hard times, and the great times. He has gotten me in trouble and I have gotten him trouble. He will be the one that will give me away when I get married, and the best uncle to my kids, He is so amazing.

Here is why I called this "The M&Ms"

When we were younger a lot younger, our grandmother would by the big 5 pound back of M&Ms and would never let us have any...Well every day after she watched the "Price is Right" she would go and take a nap....during this time is acted quick and got our sugar rush for the day, He would pick me up and put me on the kitchen counter, i would then take a cup and fill it with the M&Ms. we would then go under the dinning room table and eat them like we were under cover. This is by far one of my favorite things I have ever done with my brother....I don't remember what we talked about when we ate our M&Ms but I know that because we spent this time together, we have the relationship we do today, that along with other things, but by far the best times in my life was getting our sugar rush under the dinning room table.

Oh and if you are wondering about the picture of us...lets just say he is the best big brother in the world...and i can't wait to see in a few weeks....

So here it is...my 1st Blog. So here is a bit of info about myself, my name is cathy, some people mostly people around Christ Fellowship call me Buttermilk...I really don't know why this is but hey I'm cool with it....I'm 22 and love the fact I have an AMAZING GOD that loves me no matter what!!!
